The Bombay Bullion Association inaugurates its new corporate office
President, Mohit Kamboj says the better infrastructure is key to providing better services to the members and the industry.
September 17, 2013, Mumbai: The Bombay Bullion Association (BBA) officially inaugurated its newly re-furbished building at Zhaveri Bazaar in an elaborate ceremony which was graced by the BJP President (India) Shri. Rajnath Singh along with Shri Ashish Shelar, President, BJP (Maharashtra), Shri. Mohit Kamboj, President, BBA as well as other important guests, members of the association and the trade on 14th September 2013.
The refurbishment and upgrade of the facility was concluded with the aim to not only meet the requirements and role played by the association in current times, but also marks a new era, signifying modernization and contemporizing its image to keep with the growing industry in times to come. The new office will allow the association and its members, investors and visitors to conduct business in a peaceful and secure environment, with access to technology providing conducive environments to address important issues of concern.
Speaking at the inauguration Shri. Mohit Kamboj, President of the BBA said, “The entire building has undergone a major change incorporating contemporary interior designs and technology features that come with such state-of-art business centres. With these new facilities the BBA will now be better equipped to service not only its members but the entire industry .The new corporate office of the BBA includes a tasteful business lounge, conference room, board room, testing room and many more important features that will better facilitate the conduct of day-to-day business”.
BJP President, Shri Rajnath Singhji said, “Traditionally Gold has been one of the main sources of investment in India and the Indian gem and jewellery industry is a leading contributor of the Indian economy. Gold is the lifeline of the industry and am sure that under the able, dynamic and energetic leadership of Shri Mohit Kamboj, President of BBA, the association will steer this industry to achieve greater achievements. I extend them my heartiest wishes on the inauguration of their new offices, which symbolizes the growing eminence of the association since its inception six decades ago.”
The swanky corporate office is poised to be the new landmark in Mumbai’s Zhaveri Bazaar, which is one of the oldest and most renowned hubs of the gem and jewellery trade. The entire first floor has been re-organised to accommodate a member-cum-buyers lounge and one-of-the most comfortable and secure environments, the industry has to offer. The office will also stream live updates with latest news related to the industry besides current trading prices of various precious metals for the benefit of visitors.
The Bombay Bullion Association Ltd. was established in September 1948, at a time when prevailing circumstances in the market warranted an association with multi-faceted approach, to address the various aspects and needs of the industry. As envisaged BBA has proved to be an unbiased platform & has been acceptable to all the precious metal trading community in general and is now considered the Apex association for all bullion and jewellery associations in India.
