Glamour 2016 exhibits finest jewellery collection

Glamour’, one of India’s most celebrated exhibitions in the jewellery and lifestyle industry was back with a splendid show on the 19th, 20th and 21st of August, 2016 at Hotel Sahara Star, Domestic Airport, Mumbai. Hosted by ABEC Exhibitions and Conferences Pvt. Ltd. and ITE, the exhibition was home to more than 60 jewelers from across the country.

Bulbeer Gandhi, Event Director of the Lifestyle Division of ABEC Exhibitions and Conferences Pvt. Ltd., the brainchild behind Glamour, Glitter and Shagun tells, “I have had undying passion for Lifestyle and a strong desire to contribute to the growth of the industry since a very young age. These exhibitions unify scattered aspects of the industry – from designers, to brands, to consumers and connoisseurs and give them a common ground for interaction where new and more sophisticated trends can evolve.”

‘Glamour’ has been an absolute success for 14 consecutive years and it is the largest jewellery affair in India where both international and Indian designers can showcase their cutting edge works of art. “Glamour has carved its place amongst exhibitions on a global scale as a platform for showcasing the most unique and fresh designs, and simultaneously raising the bar with every consecutive year,” adds Gandhi. The 2016 edition saw the biggest names in the industry and celebrities and stars who attended to take in the luxurious atmosphere of the exhibition.

This year, to promote responsible luxury and lifestyle, we partnered with the Smile Foundation. The ‘Style Walk – A Bridal Affair’ on the second day, an exclusive fashion show where top designers and exhibitors displayed their enchanting wedding collections of the highest quality jewellery was a paradise for all aspiring brides to be. The show began with a segment ‘Walk of Fame’ which was presented by ‘Birdhichand GhanshyamdasJewellers’ to honor the leading and inspiring women from the industry such as Sophia Premjee, Kiran Bawa, Anu Ranjan, AnushkaRanjan, Mamta Raja, Meena Rohira,Rajyalakshmi Rao, Amy Billimoria, Simi Chandoke, Juhi Godambe, Neha Premjee, Sameena Khan, Swati Sharma, Madhura Bhogale and Aayushi Bangur. At the show, the Hens Party sequence was presented by ‘Cappuccino Collection’, followed by Mehndi by ‘Jeweleravi’. Tribhovandas Bhimji Zaveri – The Original’ showcased jewellery pieces for the Sangeet and ‘ShobhaShringarJewellers’ displayed their Wedding collection. The Pheras collection was presented by ‘Zewar by Valchandson Jewellers’ and the Reception Jewellery by ‘Rare Heritage by Mehta Emporium Jewellers’.

The 2016 edition was a paradise for women with the unique wedding collection, contemporary and traditional jewellery collections presented at the show. Gandhi says, “Glamour is renowned for its ability to gather and present the most exquisite pieces under one roof, from wedding jewellery to cocktail trinkets, unique, never before seen pieces to contemporary and ethnic ornaments. It is truly an unparalleled spectacle of the most high end jewellery.” Despite of unfavourable market in 2016, Glamour 2016 was a massive success with a large number of brands and designers participating.
