GJTCI Excellence Awards- Fourth Edition

With a view to contribute to Vibrant Gujarat- 2017, GJTCI came up with Fourth Edition of Excellence Awards on 20th November, 2016 at YMCA International, Ahmedabad to display the uniqueness and unmatched craftsmanship of our Jewellery Industry.

GJTCI Excellence Awards recognizes and honors the best in the Indian Gem & Jewellery Industry. Unlike traditional awards that focus only on jewellery products and design, GJTCI Excellence awards focuses on the people that make up the industry. The Chief Guest, Shri Vajubhai Vala – Honorable Governor of Karnataka encouraged the Fourth Edition of Excellence Awards.

Shri Shantibhai Patel- President-GJTCI said, “it is very important in this challenging times to recognize the efforts of our fellow jewellers who aim at bringing employment, uniqueness and a belief of trust to the society. This year we also would look upto individuals with social welfare and women entrepreneurs as well along with jewellers”.

The awards function was followed by a seminar highlighting the latest information about government policies etc. along with a motivational speech to overcome the daily stress of our businessmen.

Mr. Patel- informed that the GJTCI’s Fourth Edition of Excellence Awards aims at encouraging women entrepreneurs in jewellery sector by felicitating them in a separate category. GJTCI felicitated Ms. Nirupa Bhatt- Managing Director of GIA-India, Ms. Farah Ali Khan and Suhani Pittie.
The Awards were given for various categories like Diamond, Plain Gold, Studded Jeweller, Kundan, Silver, Exports, woman entrepreneur, social services, lifetime achievement etc.

The Jewellers who were awarded for their commendable contribution towards Jewellery Industry included P.C.Chandra-Kolkatta, Reliance Jewels, Siroya Jewellers-Dubai, P N Gadgil –Pune, Waman Hari Pethe- Mumbai, Nirupa Bhatt – GIA, Rajendra Jain – Swarovski, Farah Ali Khan – Farah Khan Jewellery etc.

The event was presented by Swarovski and Powered by GIA. It was supported by IndextB, Gujarat Tourism and JewelTrendz.
