Gemfields unveils The Project Blossoming collection
Gemfields, the leading supplier of responsibly sourced coloured gemstones in the world, has recently announced the launch of Project Blossoming – a creative and philanthropic partnership with India’s leading jewellers in support of Project Nanhi Kali and the education of the girl child.
The “Project Blossoming collection”, is a result of Gemfields partnering with ten jewellers, who have created one-of-a-kind pieces of jewellery with Gemfields’ Zambian emeralds and Mozambican rubies. These artistic pieces, while being objects of extreme beauty and craftsmanship also embody a promise — that there is hope for the future of these young girls.
The Project Blossoming collection will tour India, visiting each of the designers’ boutiques, before returning to Mumbai on 6 June 2014, where the collection will be auctioned by Christie’s at an exclusive black-tie event.
“India and coloured gemstones have a rich and powerful history and as such India has played an important part of Gemfields’ success as a business,” says Ian Harebottle, Gemfields’ Chief Executive Officer. Ten renowned jewellers like Hazoorilal, Mirari, Anmol Jewellers, Moksh, Amrapali, Talwarson Jewellers, Tibarumals Jewellers, LalaJugal Kishore Jewellers, Abaran Jewellers and Narayan Jewellers are part of this collection.
